The Next Song on my list is a classic song by one of the most iconic bands of all time:
Another One Bites the Dust By: Queen
Here is the lyric video too: (Here)
As previously stated this is a classic rock song from 1980.
This one was actually written by the bassist of the band: John Deacon and this song is actually based on an historic event: the St. Valentines Day Massacre of 1929 and chic. This shooting was inside a garage at 2122 North Clark Street. Members of the George “Bugs” Moran’s gang were lined up and shot in the garage hence the words, “Another One Bites the Dust.” This hit was supposedly order by Al Capone himself but charges were never proven to be true. The song tells the story of how these shotting happened, the background of how/why it was going to happen, the day/the events of the day climaxing in the moment the members were shot.
The thing that sticks out to me in a musical sense is the bass line. This stands out and lays such a good foundation to the song. The cool effects of the machine bullets really adds to the song.
All I can say about this band is that they are iconic. Freddie Mercury’s Voice is such an unique and amazing voice. He is a stable of rock and music in general. The band as a whole is also a staple of rock and music. They made a real impact on music culture and really left their mark on the world. This video Here really shows it. (this will be probably a future song on the list too)
I highly recommend giving this band a listen if you haven’t already. The are an amazing group and a great start to getting into Rock. Highly recommend!
